National Post talks about Alabama rap

Here’s my favorite excerpt from Lee Henderson, who guest edited the “primer to Alabama rap” on National Post’s pop culture blog The Ampersand:

This was a revelation. Apparently the best rap scene in America was – and remains – unrecognized.

It’s nice to see people the world around getting geeky about one of my favorite things around here.

In celebration of some good press, let’s be thankful for some of the best rapper names around, all from Alabama: Gunt, Dawggy Baggz, Jackie Chain, Big P.O.P.E., Money Addict, Mr. Big Boi Talk and finally, Nikky 2States.
